How We Started

From a weekend hobby to empowering 20,000 doctors

From a weekend hobby to
empowering 20,000 doctors

Bot MD started as a weekend hobby project that Dot and Yanchuan worked on together over nights and weekends in a Coffee Bean cafe in downtown Singapore.

We moved to Silicon Valley in the summer of 2018 as part of the Y Combinator Program where we had an epic but intensive experience living and working out of a garage in Palo Alto.Since moving back to Singapore in 2018, we have helped empower over 20,000 doctors around the world with instant access to the clinical information they need.

In 2020 we built and launched a new product platform called Bot MD Care in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform uses the same Bot MD NLP technology to power popular chat platforms so that doctors could easily scale the monitoring of vital signs for a large number of migrant worker patients. This product has since evolved to help automate patient engagement for some of the largest hospitals and clinic chains around the world.
